Oldbury Wells KS2 Project
Recently the pupils in Year 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 at Beckbury CoE Primary School were invited to take part in the Oldbury Wells, Newsround Schools’ Project This was a drama project where the pupils will be asked to make a short film of themselves as if they were TV journalists, covering a story for TV news on an area of history the children had been studying.
Oldbury Wells staff supported teachers at Beckbury to compile materials to support our pupils in creating their reports and films before choosing the best clips submitted from a range of local primary schools. On Friday 19th March the children watched a live assembly in school hosted by Oldbury Wells to an-nounce the winners of the film project.
We are proud to share that Douglas from Year 2 won 1st prize for Beckbury School and had his film clip shared with all other participating local schools. Well done Douglas!
Staff from Oldbury Wells also shared high praise for the quality of the films shared by the children of Beckbury and congratulated them on their hard work and effort.
